Maple Syrup – A Hobby With A Purpose

When the weather starts to warm in the Spring, the maple sap begins to flow. Along with his Bobcat work and other endeavors that keep Jonathan Orrick busy, he spends a lot of hours tapping trees and boiling sap in his sugar shack. Jonathan was recently featured in an article about his favorite hobby: making maple syrup.

The article appeared in the Peninsula Pulse and covered Jonathan’s expansion of syrup operations. Throughout the article, Jonathan shared his passion for making syrup along with some history and knowledge about the process.

In addition he explained that the purpose behind selling their syrup is to add to their adoption fund, since they are in the process of one more adoption.
